Goal – Oriented Behaviour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As for the first task given for me. I had to make a flowchart that shows the steps and process required in order to purchase an item (as my product sells many kinds of item) from the home page up until the end of the excluding the payment page because it leaves the website. It’s quite simple since though it’s just a simple analyze of a process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diagram above presents the flow of website whenever a user wants to purchase an item from the product;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. On the navigation bar, select which the user desire to purchase (note that there are a few choices aren’t product related).
    Example : I choose to select tees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. It then leads us to the page where it shows all design of tees available;-
    Example : I choose the white tee with “Durian King” graphic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. As we chose the tee that we desire, we were brought into the next page where we’re able to choose the size, the quantity of shirt and we’re able to zoom in the tee as well;-
    Example : Here I chose the size S (since it’s the only available size) and 1 shirt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Once we tap checkout, a small page will move in from the right side and there we can confirm our order or we can add or reduce the quantity if we decide to. In addition, at the bottom page it can be seen that our price are calculated depending on our order;-
    Example : I decided to buy 2 tees instead, so i add the quantity and the total will be RM100.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Don Norman’s 7 Principles of design <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The next task is to determine and analyze the principles of design that applies throughout the whole website. It is very important for one to implement these design to ensure the website to be seen professional and with great design gives great effect from the users perspective. However, it seems like there is one principle that I’m unable to find which is called “mapping”. From my understanding and simpler explanation, mapping is a direct guide that shows one specific action will result in a specific outcome. I’ve asked my friend about this and she explained that this principle isn’t common yet and it usually appears in physicial object instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
