My name is Lizzy Holly Lanfear. I am 20 years old and I live in a town just outside of Cambridge. The arts has always been a big part of my life ever since I was very young. I have always enjoyed drawing, colouring, painting, designing and making things in my own time. I found my love for the subject further into my GCSE’s where I took art, and then even further again when I took Art and Design, Photography and Media studies at ALevel, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I decided to look into Graphic Design during my ALevels when I started to realise I loved the design process, which I learnt in Art and Design, but I also loved creating things digitally, which I learnt doing Photography and Media Studies. So felt that it would be the best option for me going into further education.
During my first year, the projects we were given allowed us to experiment with the 4 different subjects we could take into 2nd year. This is when I found my love for UX and UI design, which I hadn’t heard of before! I loved the softwares we could use and I was intrigued to learn more so that is what I decided to do going forward in my university career.
